Corridors: Chenani-Sudhmahadev-Kishtwar-Vailoo-Ashajipora-Alstop Project status: Ongoing

The ongoing maintenance and repair work on the Chatroo-Sinthanpass-Anantnag-Khanabal road stretches from Km 193.00 to Km 235.00, addressing a crucial segment of Jammu & Kashmir's infrastructure. This 14 km stretch is undergoing significant restoration efforts, focusing on clearing landslides, repairing surface damages, and enhancing drainage systems. The project was initiated on September 27, 2023, and is part of a broader strategy to sustain the road's functionality and ensure safety for its users.

While this project does not introduce upgrades, it is essential for preserving the road's operational integrity. The M&R work will maintain the existing carriageway, which has an average width of 6.5 meters and involves thorough repairs to ensure continued usability.
