NHIDCL envisages working towards cross sharing of technical know-how and enhancing opportunities for business development with other nations and their agencies including the multilateral organizations and institutions to enhance the cross-connectivity within the region for economic and social development of the area.
NHIDCL is extensively involved in developing and maintaining National Highways which are providing connectivity with neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Myanmar, Bhutan & Nepal as part of BBIN & IMT Corridors for collaborative regional cooperation & economic development.
NHIDCL was also engaged in developing Internal Highways of neighbouring countries like Nepal for providing better connectivity in remote areas.
Nepal’s Postal Road Projects
1.) NHIDCL was entrusted by GoI to supervise the works of Postal Highways Projects for Project Management Consultancy (PMC).
2.) MoU was signed between Department of Roads, Postal Highway Project, Government of Nepal and National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) for PMC services for a total of 10 Roads under Phase-I (14 Projects/Contracts) having tentative length of 305 Km. All 14 Projects have been completed 7& handed over to the Govt. of Nepal.
